Taft led by as many as 17 points in the second quarter, but Palisades made a nice comeback, getting a three-pointer from Brenden Otero at the buzzer to finish the first half trailing, 38-27, in a CIty semifinal game at the Galen Center.
Khiry Williams scored three baskets in the second quarter for Taft and has 11 points. The Toreadors’ size is still making the difference. Palisades has lacked consistency in shooting from outside.
