Connor Beavans missed a 42-yard field goal attempt late in the third quarter for Servite, which continues to trail Las Vegas Bishop Gorman, 28-20, heading into the fourth quarter.
Beavans, who made two field goals in the first half, missed a 27-yard attempt early in the third quarter.
But the Friars will start the final frame with great field position after a bad snap on a Bishop Gorman punt attempt allowed Servite to take over the ball on the Bishop Gorman 18.
