Football: Servite trails Bishop Gorman, 28-20 at halftime

Bishop Gorman’s Shaquille Powell continues to wreak havoc on the Servite defense.

Powell scored on a 35-yard touchdown pass from Jarrett Solomon with 33 seconds remaining in the first half to give the Gaels a 28-20 halftime lead. Powell used his speed to break away from the Friars’ secondary.

Powell has two touchdowns and an interception, so far.

Servite has failed to make anything of its last two offensive possessions after scoring 20 unanswered points.

The game is being broadcast live by ESPNU and ESPN3.com.
