Servite’s attempt to stay perfect on the season has gotten off to a rough start in the desert.
Las Vegas Bishop Gorman’s Justin Sweet returned the ball 89 yards on the opening kickoff to help give the Gaels a 7-0 lead over Servite, The Times’ top-ranked team.
Bishop Gorman (5-1), is the top-ranked team in Nevada and is ranked 15th nationally by USA Today. Servite (4-0) is No. 9 nationally.
The game is being broadcast live on ESPNU and ESPN3.com.
