There was a time Harbor City Narbonne ran the ball again and again, with passing hardly important in its offensive scheme. Then Coach Manuel Douglas discovered that being able to pass can lead to the Coliseum, and the Gauchos haven’t looked back.
In junior quarterback Troy Williams, they have the best passer in the City Section. On Friday night, in a 26-20 victory over Gardena Serra, Williams had touchdown passes of 71 yards to A.J. Richardson, 76 yards to Antoine Anderson and 55 yards to Kevian Applewhite. He finished with 297 yards passing.
Carson and San Pedro, beware.
