When the pressure is on, Billy McCreary of La Canada St. Francis sure knows how to deliver.
Against Arcadia, he kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired. Against Harvard-Westlake on Friday night, he made a game-winning field goal from 37 yards with two seconds left to enable St. Francis (6-0) to secure a 23-20 victory.
‘He’s clutch,’ Coach Jim Bonds said.
McCreary also made field goals from 32 and 29 yards. And he started at receiver and cornerback. That might be the secret to his success.
‘He doesn’t have time to think about the big kicks,’ Bonds said.
