L.A. Roosevelt has received permission from the City Section to wear black uniforms given to the school last year by Nike for its game on Friday night against Los Angeles Jordan, Coach Javier Cid said.
Roosevelt wore the uniforms last year against Garfield but got into trouble with the City Section because they violate a rule that requires schools to have uniforms that match their school colors.
Roosevelt’s administration had asked Commissioner Barbara Fiege to use the uniforms against Jordan, Cid said.
