Boys’ basketball: Etiwanda advances to Pasadena final

Etiwanda knocked off its second top 25 team in as many nights on Friday, defeating Los Angeles Price, 55-53, to advance to the championship game of the Pasadena tournament. Sophomore Jordan McLaughlin led the way with 17 points.

The Eagles will face La Verne Lutheran, which defeated Pasadena, 65-53, behind Grant Jerrett, who had 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Woodland Hills Taft defeated Inglewood, 70-38, in the debut of Coach Jason Hart. Kris Yanku had 26 points.

Los Angeles Loyola defeated Redondo, 66-44, and will play Long Beach Poly in the final of the Redondo tournament. Julian Harrell had 19 points.

St. John Bosco will play Gahr in the final of the Gahr tournament after beating Cerritos, 84-58. Isaac Hamilton scored 29 points.

El Camino Real advanced to the championship game of the Simi Valley tournament with a 69-51 win over Westlake. Mike Thomas had 16 points. Valencia defeated Sierra Canyon, 82-80, with Troy Hammel scoring 34 points.

Orange Lutheran is in the final of the El Modena tournament after an 89-75 win over Colony. Gabe York scored 26 points and Darien Williams had 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Canyon Country Canyon is in the Burbank tournament final after a 73-69 win over Burbank. Clay Kasdorf had 31 points and Coley Apsay made five three-pointers and had 21 points.

Cole Huff had 29 points and 21 rebounds to help Campbell Hall defeat Blair, 67-49. Calabasas defeated University, 62-40.
