Gardena Serra opened the game with a 6-0 run and survived a Windward comeback to take a 15-14 lead after one quarter in the Southern Section Division 4AA title game at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Rejane Verin is three-for-three from the floor for six points to lead the seventh-seeded Cavaliers. Jordin Canada has seven points and Kristen Simon has five for top-seeded Windward.
