After playing lockdown defense in the first quarter, Mission Hills Alemany gave up 25 points in the second quarter and trails San Francisco Sacred Heart Cathedral 40-32 at halftime in the CIF state Division III final, the fourth and last game of today’s morning session at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento.
Razhaun Henderson is pacing the Warriors with nine points. The officials have already called three technical fouls, including double technicals on Alemany’s Marqueze Coleman and Sacred Heart’s Taylor Johns for overly-physical play. Coleman has seven points and one block.
Johns and Khalil James each have 11 points for the Central Coast Section champions, who were losing 17-15 after the first quarter.
Alemany must play smarter in the second half as Henderson, Coleman and Jerico Richardson all have three fouls.
