Kurt Ruth has resigned as baseball coach at Vista Murrieta after guiding the Mustangs to league championships the last two seasons.
‘I’m kind of worn out,’ Ruth said Tuesday.
He has been coaching basketball and baseball for 18 years. He said he will continue as offensive coordinator for the freshman football team and could help as an assistant for the baseball team depending who is hired to replace him.
A possible replacement is former Vista Murrieta assistant Matt Mosiello, who’s a teacher at Vista Murrieta.
‘The cupboard is definitely not bare,’ he said.
Vista Murrieta is scheduled to participate in the Boras Classic next spring.
