Dorsey seeks to help Jeremiah Allison with funeral for mother

Dorsey High’s football program is trying to raise funds to help former player Jeremiah Allison with funeral costs for his mother, Lucille, who died on Aug. 23. She was 51.

Coach Paul Knox said the program has raised $1,500 toward the $3,000 in funeral expenses. If anyone wants to make a donation, they can send a check made out to Dorsey football boosters, care of Paul Knox, Dorsey High, 3537 Farmdale Ave., Los Angeles CA 90016.

Allison, a freshman linebacker at Washington State, graduated last spring with straight A’s at Dorsey.

A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at The Living Room, 400 West Florence Ave. in Inglewood.
