Baseball: Capistrano Valley wins in eight innings, 3-2

Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley pulled out a 3-2, eight-inning victory over JSerra on Monday, scoring the winning run on an error.

JSerra received three hits from freshman Chase Strumpf.

Cerritos Gahr defeated Corona, 8-2. Kevin Franklin had three hits, including a home run. Gahr hit three home runs on the day.

Ayala is off to a 5-0 start after a 6-1 victory over La Habra.

Orange Lutheran defeated Trabuco Hills, 3-1. Travis Blue had two hits and Garett King threw a complete game, striking out seven with one walk.
