House Democratic leaders reportedly decided that neither candidate in a tight Indiana congressional race will be seated, and the election dispute will be sent to the House Administration Committee for further investigation. Rep. Frank McCloskey (D-Ind.) and Republican challenger Richard D. McIntyre wanted to take the oath as the representative of Indiana’s 8th Congressional Dictrict when the 99th Congress convenes today.
