Local News in Brief : Law Firm Gives $50,000 for Upgrading of Park
The law firm of O’Melveny & Myers has donated $50,000 to the Los Angeles City Department of Recreation and Parks to upgrade facilities at the O’Melveny Park, situated above Porter Ranch and Granada Hills in the Santa Susana Mountains.
The money will be used to refurbish a barn at the park for community meetings and square dancing, and for developing a two-mile hiking and equestrian trial from Bee Canyon to the highest point in the park, about 2,500 feet above sea level, said John H. Ward, assistant general manager for the parks department.
