Two Dodgers have returned from the Puerto Rican winter league because of injuries.
Outfielder Ed Amelung underwent surgery on his right wrist but is expected to be ready for spring training. As a rookie last year, Amelung batted .217 in limited service.
Left-handed pitcher Carlos Diaz developed soreness in his throwing elbow and will be examined Tuesday. He is expected to be ready for spring training. Diaz was 1-0 with a 5.49 earned-run average and one save for the Dodgers last year.
