AirCal’s passenger traffic last month was higher than during any other December in its 18-year history, the Newport Beach-based western regional airline reported this week.
Air Cal posted 133.1 million revenue passenger miles last December, up 19.7% from the same month the year before. Its passenger boardings were the highest ever for December at 33,771, an increase of 14.9% from the year-ago month.
William Lyon, AirCal’s chairman and chief executive officer, attributed the airline’s success in 1984 to the company’s “commitment to customer service and aggressive marketing strategy.”
