The average net worth of America’s high-income households ranged from $105,000 for those earning $25,000 or more to $676,000 for those earning $100,000 or more last year, according to a study by MRCA Information Services, a major marketing information-services company based in Stamford, Conn. The study also disclosed that the net worth of a one-person, high-income household averaged $186,000, while the net worth in households with five or more people averaged $169,000. The single heads of high-income households tend to be older and, therefore, have higher net worths, the study, which covered 2,400 nationally, said.
