The Food and Drug Administration proposed labeling standards for non-prescription acne drugs that include a warning against using two acne medications at the same time. The FDA proposed that the labels warn that use of two acne treatments may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. The proposal also restricts labeling claims, banning such phrases as “unclogs pores” and “unplugs pores” as inaccurate.
