A rescue team retrieved the body of a 49-year-old Arcadia man who apparently died when he fell 1,600 feet after he slipped on ice while jogging near Mt. Wilson. A Los Angeles County sheriff’s helicopter was used to hoist the body of Herman Kuhn, who had fallen to a bluff below the Mt. Wilson Observatory after he left on a marathon run from Oak Grove Park in Pasadena over the weekend. Kuhn appeared to have died from the fall, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
