Bardot Breast Surgery Reported

LONDON — Former French movie “sex-kitten” Brigitte Bardot has undergone surgery for breast cancer, the Daily Mirror newspaper said today.
It said Bardot, an international movie sex-symbol in the 1950s and ‘60s, reported the illness in a letter to a friend who lives in Britain. Bardot, now 50 and retired from movies, said the surgery, followed by radiation treatment, was successful, the newspaper said. It did not report when the surgery occurred.
