A Whittier woman and her grandson were injured when a station wagon crashed into their living room as they watched television, police said. Geraldo Rocha, 24, of Montebello allegedly lost control of his vehicle while driving east in the 12800 block of Mulberry Drive. The wagon veered across a traffic island and a vacant lot, then smashed into the small frame house. Wanda Smith, 58, was knocked across the room and suffered broken ribs, wrist and collarbone, officers said. Robert Smith, 14, was cut by flying glass. Rocha, treated for scalp cuts, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.
