UC Irvine Beats USIU

Senior forward Dorothy Lewis scored 22 points and had 7 rebounds to lead the UC Irvine women’s basketball team to a 76-68 nonconference win over United States International University Wednesday at Irvine.

Lewis’ performance offset the 34-point 7-rebound game of USIU center Toya DeCree. Irvine (14-4) also got good games from junior guard Erin Higashi, who scored 13 points, and junior center Cheri Graham, who had 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.

Forward Amanda Spry had 16 points and 9 rebounds for USIU (8-12).
