First Lady Nancy Reagan will receive the USO’s Distinguished American Award on March 14 at the Beverly Wilshire hotel, 9500 Wilshire Blvd.
USO president Al Malinow said Mrs. Reagan was selected because of her “crusade against drugs and her willingness to advise young people accordingly. Moreover, she has spent much time visiting wounded Vietnam veterans and been very active in projects concerning POWs and servicemen missing in action in Vietnam.”
Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. dinner are $250. Call the USO at 462-6904.
