Cheryl Miller Leads USC Women to Victory

The USC women’s basketball team, led by Cheryl Miller’s 22 points and 20 rebounds, defeated Arizona State, 68-57, Friday night at the Sports Arena.
Trailing 27-26 at halftime, USC opened the second half with a full-court press and outscored the Lady Sun Devils, 12-0, in the first 4 1/2 minutes and coasted to their first victory in three games. The win brought USC’s record to 12-5 for the season and 2-1 in the WCAA conference. Arizona is 8-10 and 0-5.
Jodi Rathbun led Arizona State with 16 points.
