Edison’s Girls Beat Westminster, 69-51
Denise Ogburn scored 15 points to lead Edison High School girls basketball team to a 69-51 win over Westminster in Sunset League action Friday night at Edison.
The Chargers led, 30-27, at halftime, but outscored the Lions, 32-11, in the third quarter and won handily. Martha Noffsinger and Linda Rudd had 12 points apiece for the Chargers (4-2 in league, 12-8 overall). Sophomore center Susan Tyler added a game-high 15 rebounds for Edison.
