Prep Basketball GIRLS : San Fernando 56, Verdugo Hills 34
San Fernando High led 28-10 at the half and coasted to a victory over visiting Verdugo Hills High. San Ferando improved its Valley 3-A League record to 2-6. The Tigers are 4-9 overall.
Felicia Kelly, a 5-4 junior guard, scored 18 points, 12 assists and 7 rebounds for San Fernando. Ruth Fierro added 14 points and 6 rebounds, while freshman Mirna Salmaron had 10 points.
Verdugo Hills is 0-8 in league.
