UCLA Board Names New Bruin Editor
William Rabkin, 25, a former editor-in-chief of the University of Washington Daily, has been appointed to the same position on the UCLA Daily Bruin.
Rabkin, a graduate student in film, replaces Katherine Bleifer, who quit Dec. 14 after 14 of the 15 members of the Bruin Editorial Board demanded that she either resign or be replaced.
The UCLA Communications Board, publisher of the Bruin, chose Rabkin, who was endorsed for the position by the Bruin staff. Jerry Abeles, who served as interim editor after Bleifer’s resignation, has resumed his duties as managing editor.
