UC Irvine’s Women Defeat Pacific, 61-48

The UC Irvine women’s basketball team gave Coach Dean Andrea his 100th career win in seven seasons at UCI as the Anteaters coasted to their fourth straight win, 61-48, over Pacific in Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. play at Stockton.

Irvine (5-0 in conference and 17-4 overall) was led by senior forward Dorothy Lewis’ 18 points and 8 rebounds. Teammate Cheri Graham, a junior center, added 13 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and blocked 3 shots.

The Anteaters led, 29-20, at halftime, but Pacific (1-7, 6-19) cut the margin to one point in the second half.

UCI next meets Nevada Las Vegas, also undefeated in the PCAA, Saturday at 3 p.m. in Crawford Hall.
