Carbide Employees Raise $100,000 for India Victims

DANBURY, Conn. — Union Carbide employees in the United States have raised more than $100,000 to aid the victims of the catastrophic leak at a company plant in Bhopal, India, the company said Thursday.
The Missionaries of Charity in New York, Lions Club International Foundation of Oak Brook, Ill., and Share and Care Foundation for India of Ramsey, N.J., will distribute the donations, the company said.
