Suspected gang members fired a volley of shots at a 19-year-old Los Angeles man as they drove by in the 1400 block of West 60th Street, killing him instantly, police said. The victim, who was shot in the back, was identified as Darryl Clay. Detective Kent Anderson of the South Bureau CRASH (Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums) unit said the motive for the slaying has not been determined. He said Clay was not a known gang member but may have been associated with gang members.
