CBS TO AIR ‘LUCIE ARNAZ’
Alice” is moving out and “The Lucie Arnaz Show” is moving in.
CBS said Thursday that Arnaz will star in a half-hour situation comedy debuting April 2 and airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. “Alice” will have its final broadcast March 19, ending a nine-year run on the network.
In her new series, Arnaz plays a psychologist who helps others with their problems through her magazine column and phone-in radio show. The cast includes Tony Roberts as her radio station boss and Todd Waring as a disc jockey who shares the microphone with her on the mental health and music radio show.
“The Jeffersons,” now seen at 8 p.m., will move to 8:30 p.m. CBS’ prime time on Tuesday, March 26, will be turned over to a three-hour production of “Anna Karenina.”
