Pool Designer Named:An architect tentatively has been chosen by the City Council to design a new community pool for the city. The council also agreed to pay the firm, McMurray/Sands Associates, $8,500. School trustees and the council agreed to share the costs of a new pool at the high school to replace the 30-year-old one, which has deteriorated recently. County health officials closed that pool several times last summer. The city and school district since have agreed to split the $40,000 cost to keep it running for the next three to five years.
