Cermak Stops Hancock
A fifth-inning single by freshman Judy Fitzgerald that scored Benjie Ashmore was all Moorpark College needed to beat visiting Allan Hancock in both teams’ Western State Conference opener.
The Raiders scored two more in the sixth to shut out Allan Hancock, 3-0.
It was winning pitcher Nancy Cermak’s fifth win in seven starts for Moorpark, which now stands at 5-4 overall. Hancock dropped to 2-2 overall.
