UC Irvine Women’s Tennis Team Beaten by Rice

The UC Irvine women’s tennis team lost the third game in all three doubles sets against Rice Thursday at the Racquet Club of Irvine, allowing the Owls to take a 6-3 victory.

The match was tied at 3-3 after the Anteaters (10-11) won the No. 2, 3 and 5 singles matches. Irvine’s No. 2 player, Lola Trenwith, defeated Wendy Brockman, 7-5, 6-3, and No. 3 Dina Trenwith beat Eileen Curreri, 6-2, 6-2. In the No. 5 match, Colleen Patton defeated Lori Cronk 6-3, 6-1.
