Aramco canceled a major deal with Bechtel Group.

San Francisco-based Bechtel said it was notified by Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s government-operated oil company, that it had decided to abandon a project to build two oil refineries worth $2 billion in Saudi Arabia. The move will mean more layoffs for Bechtel employees here and abroad. Aramco gave no explanation for the cancellation, Bechtel spokesman Al Donner said.
