U.S. to Sell Thais F-16s

WASHINGTON — The Defense Department formally notified Congress on Tuesday that it plans to sell 12 F-16 jet fighters to Thailand, the first time that such advanced planes have been sold to a Southeast Asian country. The purchase cost--along with spare parts, support equipment and training services--is estimated at $360 million.
