$1 Million in Inaugural Funds to Aid Deficit Cut

WASHINGTON — President Reagan, who says he is determined to reduce the federal deficit, did his bit Thursday. He presented Treasury Secretary James A. Baker III with a $1-million check from money raised for his second inauguration.
Inaugural officials had announced earlier that the money, left over after the inaugural festivities turned out to cost less than the amount that had been raised, would be applied to reduce the deficit.
