Excavation of a lot adjacent to the McMartin Pre-School has produced no evidence in the child molestation case involving the school, according to the district attorney’s office.
An Orange County archeological firm hired by prosecutors found a turtle shell and some animal bones, but prosecutors said they do not believe that the objects--plus another turtle shell found by parents--are related to the case.
The firm was looking for evidence relating to testimony by youngsters that the seven defendants in the case scared their 41 alleged child victims into silence by slaughtering small animals in front of them. The six-day excavation ended late Monday, Deputy Dist. Atty. Roger Gunson said.
