Renovation Completed at Retirement Hotel
McDade & Shidler, Hollywood, has completed a $1.5-million renovation and refurbishing of Ocean House, a 12-story retirement hotel at Ocean Avenue and Bicknell Street, Santa Monica.
The firm purchased the property, which had been vacant for two years, in 1983 and has renovated the public spaces and all 210 units in order to operate it as a retirement home offering room and maid service to ambulatory senior citizens.
