A marijuana charge filed against an employee of McLaren Children’s Center was dismissed. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marvin D. Rowan ruled that the district attorney’s office failed to present enough evidence to hold Lee Germaine Powers, 35, for trial, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Lawrence Mira. Powers was arrested last November after he allegedly offered to sell marijuana to a co-worker at Los Angeles County’s home for abused and neglected children. Mira said Powers has been suspended from his job as a group supervisor pending outcome of the criminal case.
