The annual spring cleanup will be held Saturday.
Cleanup day sponsors--the Harbor City Coordinating Council and harbor area Councilwoman Joan Milke Flores--are asking residents and business people to help clear vacant lots, sweep gutters, cut weeds and paint over graffiti. Volunteer crews will meet at 8 a.m. at Harbor City Recreation Center, 24901 Frampton Ave.
Harbor City rubbish collection sites will be open for public use from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Harbor Tabernacle, 1408 W. Anaheim St.; Narbonne High School, 24300 Western Ave.; Normont Terrace Administration Building, 990 West 256th St.; Retail Clerks Union Hall, 25949 Belle Porte Ave., and the Harbor City Recreation Center. No dirt or chunks of concrete will be accepted.
Elderly or handicapped persons who need assistance may call 548-7664. Requests for graffiti removal may be made at the same number.
