College Softball : Santa Ana Defeats Mt. SAC, 4-1
Santa Ana College scored two runs in the second and third innings Wednesday to beat Mt. San Antonio, 4-1, in a South Coast Conference softball game at Santa Ana.
Winning pitcher Alani Silva struck out two and allowed nine hits on way to a complete-game win. Silva also had an RBI triple in the third inning.
The Dons (7-2, 29-2) will play host to SCC-leading Fullerton (9-0) at 3 p.m. Friday.
In other South Coast Conference action:
Fullerton 7, Cypress 1--Winning pitcher Lisa Fresquez struck out nine and also went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs to lead the SCC leading Hornets.
Golden West 1, Cerritos 0--Heather Mackey’s triple scored Cindy Methot for the only run of the game. Lisa Brady was the winning pitcher for Golden West (4-6, 12-14), allowing five hits and striking out three.
