Deukmejian Pay
My tranquil early morning with The Times was disturbed by a small item (April 17):
“Gov. George Deukmejian pays $15,000 tax on $62,000 income!”
That is absolutely obscene! Business executives receive quadruple plus $62,000 in incentive alone! Professional athletes spill that much on Saturday night. And we pay our governor of the greatest state, a dedicated and most competent man, this pittance! It’s a disgrace, shameful. What can be done?
