Work continues on a $37,500 project to beautify the Santa Monica Boulevard median in the west end of the city. Grading has been completed and irrigation lines installed. Flowers will be planted on several islands along the mile-long center strip. The city will match donations of up to $7,000 to help pay for the flowers, which are being planted by volunteers.
