Flooded Streets Displace 150
Up to five inches of rain in southwest Pennsylvania and West Virginia flooded streets and forced about 150 people to flee their homes today.
A 12-hour rainstorm covered streets in Jeannette, Pa., with 9 feet of water and flooded basements in Westmoreland, Fayette and Butler counties. Authorities evacuated about 100 people from their homes in Jeannette. About 50 people also were evacuated from two trailer parks.
