Residents, Officials to Air Kanan Road Peril
Agoura-area homeowners are scheduled to meet with Los Angeles County, state and Agoura Hill officials tonight to discuss traffic safety on Kanan Road, where five people have died in accidents during the past month.
The 7:30 p.m. session will be at the Calamigos Ranch, at Kanan Road and Mulholland Highway, said Susan Petrovsky, spokeswoman for the Triunfo-Lobo Community Assn., which is sponsoring the meeting.
She said residents hope to resolve the debate over use of radar to monitor motorists along the 11-mile mountain route and to press for expanded surveillance by the California Highway Patrol.
