The City Council approved an annexation plan for a 34-acre parcel at the Santa Monica Airport that is owned by Santa Monica but is within Los Angeles city boundaries.
The parcel is at the eastern end of the airport, between Centinela and Bundy avenues. The land is being used for airplane parking, a 300-foot stretch of the runway and parts of two taxiways.
