Flamemaster Net Income Jumps 82% Over Last Year
Flamemaster reported net income for its third quarter ended June 30 of $78,817, or 10 cents a share, up 82% over the same quarter last year. Revenue for the period was $1 million, up 23% over the third quarter of 1984.
For the nine months ended June 30, Flamemaster’s net income was $138,063, or 19 cents, against a net loss of $16,512 for the same period last year. Revenues were $2.9 million, up 35% over the same period last year.
An increase in sales of fire- and heat-resistant coatings led to the overall improved performance for the quarter, treasurer Barbara Waite said.
Flamemaster, based in Sun Valley, manufactures flame-retardant coatings for industrial cables and sealants for aircraft. The company recently acquired a 20% interest in Sun Valley Cosmetics, makers of hair and skin-care products.
