Kathryn (Kitty) Nelson was appointed clerk of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors Thursday by Chief Administrative Officer Clifford Graves.
Nelson, assistant clerk of the board for 10 years, has been the acting clerk since May 31, when Porter Cremans retired. A veteran of 23 years with the county, Nelson will head a staff of 43 in the office, which is responsible for maintaining official records of all actions taken by the board in public meetings.
